Pine Ridge School was the first school in Livingston Parish specifically designed for students with special needs in 1980.  At that time, it was called Livingston Parish Special Education Center.  The school provided education for students with severe to mild disabilities ranging form age 6 to 22.  As the school began to  grow, additional classrooms were added as well as new programs.  The name was changed to Pine Ridge School with the addition of these new programs.
Currently, Pine Ridge School has an enrollment of approximately 30 students.  We provide education for Special Needs Children and Alternative Educational Programs.
