The purpose of the guidance program is to help each individual
student achieve his/her maximum growth mentally, emotionally, and
socially. We try to do this in several ways: |
| |
|
a. |
Individual conferences whenever a
student, a teacher, a parent, or the |
| |
counselor deems it necessary. |
| |
|
|
b. |
A testing program designed to help
the student learn as much |
| |
as possible about his/her
capabilities. |
| |
|
|
c. |
Support groups designed to help the
student deal with issues such |
| |
as relationships, self-esteem, drugs,
loneliness, etc. |
| |
|
|
d. |
Study skills program that reinforces
and encourages good study habits. |
| |
|
A student may obtain appointment forms from his/her teacher or from
the Guidance office to see the Guidance Counselor. By law, what a
student tells the counselor is confidential. |
