GUIDANCE

The purpose of the guidance program is to help each individual student achieve his/her maximum growth mentally, emotionally, and socially. We try to do this in several ways:

 a.

Individual conferences whenever a student, a teacher, a parent, or the
  counselor deems it necessary.

b.

A testing program designed to help the student learn as much
  as possible about his/her capabilities.

c.

Support groups designed to help the student deal with issues such
as relationships, self-esteem, drugs, loneliness, etc.

d.

Study skills program that reinforces and encourages good study habits.

A student may obtain appointment forms from his/her teacher or from the Guidance office to see the Guidance Counselor. By law, what a student tells the counselor is confidential.
