The Department of Education recommends that each parish adopt the
following |
| rules for riding the school buses: |
| |
|
|
| |
1. |
The driver should select a safe
stopping point, even |
| |
|
though pupils may have to walk a
distance. |
| |
|
(If traveling a multi-lane road,
always load on |
| |
|
right outside lane.) |
| |
2. |
The driver is in full charge of the
bus and the pupils. |
| |
|
Pupils will obey the driver
cheerfully and promptly. |
| |
3. |
Pupils will obey and respect the
order of monitors |
| |
|
or patrols on duty. |
| |
4. |
Pupils will occupy the space
designated for them |
| |
|
by the driver. |
| |
5. |
Pupils will be on time; the bus
cannot wait for |
| |
|
those who are not on time. |
| |
6. |
Pupils will observe the following: |
| |
|
a. Never stand in the road
while waiting for the bus. |

pass on the route. |
